    Catherine is an Australian based Sociologist with an insane love for blood, guts, and gore. She is the founder of Hear Us Scream and contributes a monthly column “Horrorology” where she examines sociological and criminological perspectives of horror movies. Catherine has a deep love for the horror community and is passionate about providing a space for horror lovers to come together and share their love for the genre.     Destiny Kelly is a visual horror artist and filmmaker from Southern California. She creates a variety of mixed media traditional and digital artwork inspired by the horror genre. In 2020, Destiny received her Bachelor's Degree from Long Beach State University's Film and Electronic Arts program, with a specialization in Production Design. Outside of doing art department related work on film sets, she has a passion for writing and directing her own independent horror short films.

    Dylyn, also known as Dylyn C.S., is a die-hard genre fan and film buff based in Washington state. As a queer, Jewish, chronically ill, and neurodivergent woman, she enjoys analyzing film through the intersections of these identities. In addition to her monthly column for Hear Us Scream (“Holy Terrors,” an exploration of Jewish talent in horror), she has written for other genre-analysis sites like Monster Thoughts and Slay Away. Currently, she and her partner are cultivating a video project called “PNW Halloween,” which will be a year-round dedication to cozy, autumnal ambience. Along with her horror adventures, however, she is working on a thriller-based project in her spare time and hopes to one day achieve her master’s degree in Film History. An avid poetry-lover, she also dreams of someday publishing a poetry book, as her love of writing first blossomed from her love of poetry. Dulce has a degree in English Lit (minor philosophy) and would have to say that her favourite author is Shakespeare though her interests are pretty fluid. Dulce says that horror has prepared her for the world in many ways and she's still deciding if that's a good or a bad thing!     E. L. King (also known as Enola Lugosi) is a horror lover, writer and critic. They host the Slay Away horror podcast and are the Editor-in-Chief of horror media outlet SlayAwayWithUs.com. Their recent projects include voice acting as main character Ada in Fossil Games new game Sunshine Manor releasing October 28th on all platforms and an upcoming narrative podcast exploring urban legends, myths and folk horror. They reside in the horror hub of Austin, Texas, host a horror gaming channel on Twitch and YouTube and enjoy chatting about horror on Instagram, Twitter and TikTok.

    Gena Radcliffe is the co-host of the horror podcast Kill by Kill, and she is a writer and managing editor at the film and television website The Spool. Her work has been featured in Daily Grindhouse, Anatomy of a Scream, F This Movie and Grim Magazine. A native of Atlantic City, New Jersey, the weirdest place on Earth, she lives in Brooklyn with her family and one extremely shy cat.

  • Hari Berrow

    Hari is a Welsh and working-class writer and postgraduate researcher. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Creative and Critical Writing at Cardiff University, exploring ways of using horror to create scripted presentations of mental ill-health within the horror genre. Hari recently completed The Other Room's Emerging Writers programme in association with Bad Wolf Studios, and her work has been featured in T'Art Magazine and Keep on Writing 2020. She has lectured online for The Folklore Podcast and Rural Gothic Conference and has worked with various universities and institutions to offer creative workshops. In 2020, she hosted monthly Horrorthons and, between May and December, watched 245 horror films - she deeply regrets this decision.

    Jerry Sampson is a horror writer, screenwriter, and film analyst. Her love for film and the horror genre leads her to explore and question the darkness that lies in the shadows of human existence. She studies the concept of inherited trauma and finds this theme coming up consciously and unconsciously in much of her work. She has a monthly feature on the Rue Morgue website called Beautiful Filth which focuses on Extreme Horror films through the female gaze. Jerry is the Editor-in-Chief of Buckman Journal and she writes for Ghouls Magazine, Moving Pictures Film Club, Hear Us Scream, and other publications.     Jenni Holtz is a Chicago-based LGBTQ+ health researcher, illustrator, and writer passionate about work centering the transgender community. Body horror is their favorite horror subgenre, as it captures their experience of being trans and disabled. Raw (2016), Suspiria (2018), The Skin I Live In (2011), and Possessor (2020) are some of their favorites in the genre. Their writing has been published at Autostraddle, In Their Own League, Flip Screen, Film Daze, Screen Queens, Loose Lips, and Restless Mag.
