Her novel, But A Dream, is promises to deliver what fans of the genre desire: shock, tension, disgust, and moments so terrifying that readers will sleep with their lights on. Her novella, I’m Having Regrets, examines horror through a communal lens, it unpacks the fear that comes from tense familial relationships, and the consequences of trusting others too freely.

Marceau’s novella, I’m Having Regrets, will be released in July 2023, followed shortly by But A Dream in December. Both of them are currently available to pre-order through Amazon, or on Hear Us Scream Press’ website.

But A Dream follows the misadventures of four friends who go on a camping trip in the Canadian wilderness to find themselves and get in touch with nature. Things quickly get out of hand when they kill—and consume—a witch disguised as a deer and discover that her magic has psychedelic, and horrific, effects on them. A dark reimagining of Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream, But A Dream is a story about what's real, what's imagined, and what's better left in our nightmares.

I'm Having Regrets follows the story of Madeleine, a recently widowed mother of two, who's desperate to put her life back together in the wake of a tragic fire. Despite her sister's concerns, Madeleine finds herself seeking comfort at a local support group for the bereaved that's run by a religious group known as Our Lady of Porete. While she's hesitant to attend their week-long retreat with the rest of the congregation, her increasingly strained homelife convinces her to go. With her two children and sister in tow, Madeleine heads out into the middle of nowhere to discover who she really is and what the group's intentions with her and her family really are. I'm Having Regrets looks at the dark side of community and what happens when we're unable to make peace with the things we've done to survive.
