Chattanooga Film Festival 2023—Premieres and more!

The upcoming Chattanooga Film Festival 2023, which is making its return to the physical venue for the first time since 2019. The highly anticipated annual film festival is all set to showcase an exciting lineup of movies this year. Among the most-awaited films is the world premiere of SOUR PARTY, TEARSUCKER, which is expected to captivate audiences with its gripping storyline and stellar performances. As a tribute to the classic horror series Tales from the Crypt, the festival has organized a series of events featuring industry veterans Gil Adler and A L Katz. Their presence is sure to add to the festival's glamour and prestige. In light of the pandemic, the festival had pioneered a virtual format in 2020, which was a huge success. This year, the organisers are taking a hybrid approach, combining the virtual and physical formats to provide a unique and exceptional experience to film enthusiasts. Dark Star Pictures has exciting news for festival attendees, as they have announced two special screenings for the upcoming event. The first film to be showcased will be the opening film in the festival's popular CFF After Hours block, titled KING ON SCREEN. Directed by Daphné Baiwir, this masterful deep dive into the world of Stephen King film adaptations is sure to captivate horror fans. In addition to this, Dark Star Pictures will also be presenting the terrifying psychological and body horror film, THE ELDERLY. Directed by Raúl Cerezo and Fernando González Gómez, this film promises to keep audiences on the edge of their seats. CFF is going all out for its live event programming, featuring bestselling authors, screenwriters, and festival favorites Clay McLeod Chapman and Grady Hendrix. Chapman will start off the festival's opening day with a long-awaited Pumpkin Pie Show, showcasing his exceptional storytelling skills with a performance of GHOST EATERS AND OTHER STORIES, where he'll read from his latest novel, The Ghost Eaters. Hendrix is back with his brand new live show, HOW TO SELL A HAUNTED HOUSE, based on his recent novel of the same name, and promises to deliver an entertaining breakdown of pulp horror paperbacks, slasher films, and even some musical numbers. With these events, CFF fans will have the opportunity to enjoy the best of the horror genre and learn from the most talented writers and screenwriters in the industry.

The Chattanooga Film Festival (CFF) will make its long awaited return this summer from June 23 - 29. Hybrid and Virtual VIP badges are on sale now. For guests that pick up one of the festival's Hybrid VIP passes, an entire weekend of in-person screenings, events, and parties await June 23 - 25, and when the on-the-ground days are over, there's still a lot more festival left to explore from June 26 - 29.
